Why Should I Hire You?

Hey there! My name is Janelle Lara and I am the Part-Time CEO. I help women build a six-figure company a while working only 20 hours per week or less in their business. I, myself, am a multi six-figure per year business owner and I only work 2 and 1/2 days of the week and the rest of the week I'm a stay-at-home mom to my 2 daughters.

I’ve created a system where I help women go from startup to multiple six figures in about 2 to 3 years and today I am so excited to help you answer the question,  “why should I hire you?”. I'm going to start with how I personally do business differently, which offers peace of mind to the clients who hire me, but then I'm also going to share a little bit about how you can create a business that your perfect clients are excited to invest with as well.

( hopefully if you ever choose to invest in me this will give you peace of mind. Also, I hope that it gives you ideas for how you can set aside common practices in your industry and create more client-centric practices which we’re going to talk about here in a second)

So here's how I do business differently:

  1.  I give my clients the opportunity and the right to cancel anytime. I never hold them in a contract against their will.  Personally I think that is totally unethical and life happens and so I am totally happy, if someone is working with me and they're not all in, they don't think it's a good fit, or something happens in their life they have the opportunity to cancel anytime.

  2.  This is why I offer a pro-rata refund. I have a team, I'm running a business, I do have to get paid for the services that I render, but when someone chooses to end the contract I give them a pro-rata refund which means that I give them all the money back that they have not used in services up until that point.

  3.  I offer every single client who comes through the door even if they don't get 1:1 time with me because that's not what they invested in, I give every single client personalized and custom support through several diagnostics I offer within my company including pulling their astrology chart, their human design chart and helping them discern their marketing type.  Completing these diagnostics helps me to know exactly what type of business and what type of support my clients need. That way, I'm not just giving them a one-size-fits-all curriculum, it truly is a custom created curriculum for them to help them achieve their goals as quickly as possible. My Marketing Type Quiz Link.

  4.  I give everyone in all of my clients anytime access to their coaches. That means they're not limited to a certain number of emails per month, they don’t have to wait because they can only contact us at certain times, etc. Obviously we’re not going to respond at 6 a.m. on a Sunday morning, however my clients will be able to reach out to at least one person within my company 24/7 and we respond within business hours. This means you never have to worry about forgetting your questions, and you get support with what you’re struggling with in real time.

  5.  Each of my curriculums offer step-by-step tactical and strategic support for every single stage of business. I've been a business coach for over three years, so I have seen a lot and I've created a ton of  content, so whatever a client is struggling with in business I have a training for that or I have a resource for that. You're going to always get tactical strategic support. And it's not going to be a “let’s shift your beliefs around that” or here’s an affirmation. It’s going to be really tactical and strategic support within every stage of business.  However, because we know that mindset also matters, you also get a ton of belief, energy, and mindset support in your business. I have healers on staff, I have an energy healing curriculum, and I do mindset support as well, so you really get all-in-one when you work with me and my company.

  6. I don't teach anything that I have not done myself.  I will often give behind-the-scenes strategy support as I implement in real-time.  You can have confidence when you work with me knowing that every single thing that I am teaching you and working with you on is something that I have accomplished myself. I have a company that grosses over $250,000 a year and I only work 20 hours a week and I take home six figures.  That is exactly what I support my clients and doing themselves for their own businesses.  Not only have I done it myself, I have also helped clients do it as well.

  7.  All of the strategies I teach are 100% organic growth strategies. There’s no pay-to-play, there's no paid traffic, there is nothing that you have to invest further in in order to get traffic to gain clients.  I don’t teach a webinar funnel.  Everything that I teach my clients how to do and how to grow is all 100% for free.  The investment that you make in myself and my company is the only investment you're going to make. There's no pay-to-play, hidden fees or back end costs associated with growing your business...  UNTIL you get to the point where you need to hire support because you're so busy and you have so many clients that maybe you need a virtual assistant. But also I guide you through that hiring process to make sure that you are not overextending yourself in your business. Because, again, I want you to take home six figures! That means you're not giving it to me, you're not giving it to your team members, and you're not giving it to software.  The goal is profitability and you are taking money home to your family.

Okay so that is how I do business differently, and I hope that gave you some ideas for how a business coach should operate. And I hope it gave you some ideas for how you can operate in your business and make your company more client-centric and client friendly. Finally, I also hope that it really inspires you and helps you to feel confident in your decision if you ever choose to invest in myself or in my company.

The truth of the matter is that the best company does not win in the marketplace. It's the best marketed and easiest to work with company that wins. Mike Michalowicz who's the author of Profit First talks about this a lot in his new book Get Different.  He shares a little bit about a company that he ran many years ago which was a company that fixed broken technology, such as phones and computers. He started his company right around the same time that Geek Squad came out. Geek Squad ended up beating him out of the space substantially. Why? Well it was because they had such a unique and different marketing strategy. So they were doing the exact same thing: They were fixing technology; they were fixing computers and phones, but the Geek Squad wore uniforms with glasses that had tape in the center and they wore nerdy white button-down t-shirts with short sleeves, and they drove cars that said geek Squad and they just really embraced this fun, geeky and unique marketing and that is what set them apart in the marketplace.

Having a client-centered experience matters just as much. A company that does an amazing job creating a truly client-centered experience is Chick-fil-A: “it's our pleasure”. When you think about any of the other chicken fast food restaurants in the space; You think about KFC, PDQ or Zaxby’s... Chick-fil-A is worth fifteen billion dollars! KFC is their biggest competitor, but is worth half! Only $8 billion. And PDQ is hardly even a competitor at 32 million, while Zaxby’s is only worth 10 million. And it’s not necessarily because they have better chicken! I truly believe that is a direct reflection of the “it's our pleasure” culture of Chick-fil-A.  They do things differently, they created a client-centered culture and so of course,  people want to do business with them.

So assuming that you have an exceptional and unique offer that gets amazing results and, by the way, this is the most important piece of the puzzle so if you need support in creating your offer please reach out, but assuming that you have that in place there are many different ways that you can do business differently that will lead to you naturally having more more market share.

  1.  The first way is that you can turn your industry “common practices” on their head in favor of client-centric best practices. I'm an example of that, in the fact that a lot of business coaches and coaches in my space would say once you sign a contract we are going to hold you to that contract.  You need to be a person of your word etc… and while I totally am a person of Integrity, I love a handshake deal as much as the next person-  I also understand that things happen and things change, so I will never hold someone to a contract that they don't want to be in and I think that my clients appreciate that.

  2.  I want you to think about what people outside of your niche do as well.  So think about Nordstrom and how they offer any time returns for any reason, no receipt required. That turned retail completely on its head- Nordstrom is a Goliath in the retail industry and I think that's a huge reason why.  Another company that turned their industry on its head is CarMax.  Before, we always had this idea of the slimy car salesman who was trying to hide the fact that they were actually selling a lemon and scam their clients into overpaying for a car. What CarMax did is they actually created standards for the types of cars they would even have on their lot and it's actually very rigid standards. But also  they offer a printout of the car's history and they show you “hey, this is exactly how many accidents they've gone through or here is exactly what kind of repairs the car has gone through” and again, this totally turned the industry on its head. A lot of people thought that they were silly for revealing the kind of the things that a car has been through and kind of exposing the secrets, but actually CarMax clients really appreciated this transparency and now they are a leader in the car sales space.

So, I want you to be thinking about how you can do business differently in your Niche, and how you can make your experience a client-centered experience. I hope this was helpful and thought-provoking for you. The reason why I make these blogs and videos is because I want to earn your trust.  The business coaching space is unregulated so that means that it is filled with potential scammers and I don't want you to fall victim to those, so I share my best practices, not only so that you trust me and feel safe investing with me, if that's ever something that you choose to do, but also so that you have the tools to find the business coaches, the contractors and the vendors who are going to support you and who are going to be really positive and safe investments for you.
